Information Technology
Long have I battled to make information technology work as it should. I began my career as a trainee computer programmer with the Post Office in London in 1980. At that time I was working on a mainframe programming in COBOL. Since then I have been closely involved in the spread of personal computing, office networking and more recently the global Internet. My current IT specialisation is in the field of Internet security, messaging and website management.
Some recent projects include:
- Intranet management for the State of Geneva using Lotus Notes.
- Firewall design and testing for the UN Environment Programme.
- Internet messaging and network security for PBKA, a Geneva law firm.
- Website optimisation for the Scottish Graduate Programme on Economics.
- Website and copyright policy for the University of Warwick.
- Database connectivty to website for CK Consult, Geneva.
