Creative Writing
The death of the British writer, Douglas Adams in the spring of 2001, prompted me to begin writing a science fiction novel, loosely inspired by the Hitch Hikers' Guide to the Galaxy series. At first it was just a rather rambling weekly email posting to friends and family that went under the name of Alecto. Eventually it became a fully-fledged novel with the title of No Time Like The Present.
A brief excerpt from it can be downloaded in the linked PDF document.
Following that escapade of hopefully humerous fantasy, I teamed up with my oldest friend from days back in Lancashire where we attended Clitheroe Royal Grammar School together. We wrote a darker science fiction story together as a basis for a film script known as The Crossing, which is now, no doubt in the sweaty palms of a number of Hollywood producers.
A few pages of the script can be downloaded in PDF format here.
